R ise Academy is one of the leading basketball training programs in the country. Rise prides itself on teaching players how to play rather than recruiting players that can already play. Rise consultants spend countless hours trying to find the perfect school and the perfect situation for each of their athletes. Basketball at Rise is treated as an individual sport so each athlete can achieve their individual success. We pride ourselves on quality not quantity. We believe that often times, players must be in the right situation at the right time so they can impress the right individuals. Only certain programs understand the importance of this individual success over team success, and we take pride in being such a program. A n example of this success occurred when Sam Rines, founder of Rise Academy, was approached about putting together an AAU summer team that would be sponsored by a sneaker company. The starting five players of this team consisted of Kobe Bryant and Rip Hamilton and three other seniors. Obviously, Kobe and Rip made it to the NBA, but the other three seniors because of the situation they were placed in and who they were able to be teamed up with, received scholarships to major division one universities. Since then, Rise has continued to see success with having such players such as Matt Carroll and Rasual Butler as well as current day players Tyreke Evans and Terrence Roderick. R ise Academy is a basketball prep exposure program designed to help develop aspiring athletes into well-seasoned, polished high school and college basketball players. The staff consists of coaches, trainers, and consultants that specialize in different areas to help student athletes achieve maximum potential. Rise is different than most prep schools because Rise focuses on the individual concepts above the team concept. Rise also consults in other areas such as: Education Options: Rise provides athletes with the option to attend different schools based on their education needs. Rise educates players on present and future NCAA standards prior to attending the academy. Players are offered educational opportunities that will help them reach their educational needs. Rise specializes in helping athletes meet NCAA clearinghouse requirements. SAT (Standard Aptitude Test) preparatory work and ACT tutoring is available to those that need to raise their test scores. Area approved high school are used if players are in need of any core course(s) Exposure: Rise offers exposure opportunity to those looking to play college basketball. Rise competes against the best prep schools, some junior colleges, and good high schools from coast to coast. Player’s profiles and updates are sent to different colleges across the country to help players attending the academy gain exposure and recognition among the college community. College coaches attend both games and, practices looking for possible student-athletes to attend their universities. Rise provides opportunities to all their athletes attending the academy. Exposure comes in many forms and different programs such as elite camps, AAU tournaments, Top 100 shootouts, All-Star Games, Prep Schools, Scouting Service assessments, coach’s invitations, and simple phone calls. Compare: Sam Rines put more players in division 1 colleges than 99% of all high school and AAU coaches over the last 10 years. Rise offers more games, and gym time than all prep schools, and most basketball academies. Most prep teams play to win games; Rise play to get scholarships for individual players. Rise plays the most complete schedule in the country so players can be exposed to different colleges across the country. Rise played in all the Northeastern States, along with Texas, Mississippi, California, Nevada, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, and Georgia. Rise has two teams equally divided, not an A team and a B team. Do you really think the B team players get scholarships when they play fewer games, and lesser competition? Coach’s want stars, not role players, or B players. Rise players are taught by some of the top basketball instructors in the country. Rise makes average players good and good players great. Sam Rines is known for producing unknown players that produce at the next level. Rise has its own scouting service promoting good products. Sam Rines befriended hundred of coaches over the years. I will never give my friends a bad product because one bad produce can get a coach fired. Some prep schools, high school, and AAU programs are ranked every year, and usually these are some of the players that flop in college because good players try to hide among other good players. These are the players normally over rated, and famous for getting coaches fired. The NY times and several other media outlets reported that i said "you can get up to 8 cores in 1 schools year". It's true. if you attend a school with block scheduling or you attend night and/or summer school, you can probably get 9 or 10. it depends on how bad you really want it. Every year my teams have strong academic players as well as players that need academic help. I try to concult with the NCAA, different complience officers, and other school administrators to help student -athletes qualify for college. Why go to a prep school in the middle of nowhere? Rise offers the comfort of everyday life. Rise treats student -athletes like college students living off campus The schools we use have been around for 35 or more years unlike some of these other schools and programs
